A lot of things have been said about the remake of the slave movie Roots. Snoop Dogg had some things to say about another slave movie being made. We have had three slave movies in the past 3 years. It is always white movie executives wanting to put out movies that shows us down and out. I am not saying we shouldn’t know this but these are just way too many movies of us being slaves. What black person in America does not know we were slaves? Instead we need to start having movies on blacks being kings and queens before slavery. How about that? We don’t need another slave movie.
Snoop Dogg brought up a good point on slave movies being made. Here is a quote from Snoop Dogg.
“No disrespect but I can’t watch no more motherf—–’ black movies where n—– getting dogged out. 12 Years a Slave, Roots, Underground, I can’t watch none of that s—. I’m sick of this s—. How the f— they gonna put Roots on on Memorial Day? They gon’ just keep beating that s— into our heads of how they did us, huh? I don’t understand America.”
White America has disrespected us so much that a lot of blacks feel that is what they are a slave. It is always the enemy in the background plotting and scheming on us. We call people like that blood suckers. Looking to get a dollar out of black people but white people who fund these movies know nothing about us. I don’t care if a black person directed the remake of Roots there are other movies by blacks that shows us in a better light. God wants to see you stand up.
